I wish I were a mermaid,
To swing over the emerald sea
To splash in water and say its me
To raum the waterworld with all my gee.

I wish I were a mermaid ,
To explore the unexplored lands
To make some aquatic friends
To build myself a castle out of its sands.

I wish I were a mermaid,
To search the pearls in the depth
To have them in a rope wrapped
To wear it in my neck.

I wish I were a mermaid,
To be away from terrestrial life
To get myself peace in a trice
To live in a place with no lies.

I very well remember and have this poem with me which I had written long back in past, when I had been known for the first what a mermaid is, how she looks and about her existence.Though it is not that good if we consider the maturity level but still it is something which gives me joy everytime when I read it. So I thought why shouldn't I just share it!!😅😇So I just posted it with a little correction. Hope you'll will like. 😁
