When Time Ceases
When time ceases, and all is still,
No ticking clocks, no whirring mill,
The world will pause, a moment freezes,
And all will be as calm as seas.
No rushing traffic, no honking horns,
No hurried footsteps, no early morns,
The quiet will reign, the peace sublime,
And all will know, it's the end of time.
The sun will set, the moon will rise,
And stars will twinkle in the skies,
The night will be forever long,
And time, like life, will cease its song.
But in this stillness, we will find,
A new beginning for all mankind,
A chance to start afresh, anew,
And create a world that's pure and true.
So when time ceases, let us be,
The best we can, for all to see,
And in this final, peaceful state,
Let love and kindness, our souls safe.
