One Rainy Night
In the shadow of the night,
As cicadas and crickets hum,
A distant rumbling resonates.
Pitter-patters the rain goes,
Joining in the symphony
of the music of this night
On the leaves and on the roofs
Under which many lives live.
Cool breeze enters the home
Carrying with it the fascination
Of the gentle pour over the city
While the cat purrs at the sight.
Cars flash by those homes,
Its rear lights dancing on the gravel
Glittering in the eyes of pedestrians
Moments of modern life
And the beauty in noticing it.
Listening to the rhythm of life
Weaved words come to life
in a lamp-lit room of one home
Flowing in seam like a song
In the realm of her reality
with the bridge of creativity.
Fast-paced seem far away.
