Once Upon a Time
Upon the darkness of the night,
Where stars shine so bright,
A young girl weeps in silence,
Her battered heart seeks for solace.

Upon the noise of the city,
A young boy begs for pity,
He extends his arms for their mercy,
But they only give him a penny.

Upon the heat of the summer,
Someone feels the coldness of December,
She shivers when she looks at the sun,
While everyone is having fun.

Once upon a time,
Before I write this rhyme.
I used to be that young girl who weeps,
While everyone is already asleep.

Once upon a time,
Me and that boy are the same,
Misunderstood by many,
For we don't need their money.

Once upon a time,
That someone comes from me,
The offspring of my longing,
For the warmth I am always seeking.

This is one of my hidden tale,
I need to let it go in order to heal.
It started as once upon a time,
But why do I still feel the pain as of this time?
