Write a poem about truth and if the truth that has been told to us can be trusted.
Truth is a double-edged sword,
It can cut deep or set us free.
But can the truth that's been told to us
Be trusted wholly, without a doubt?
In a world of deception and lies,
It's hard to discern what's real.
Do we believe what we're told,
Or question every detail?
The truth can be a slippery slope,
Twisting and turning in our minds.
It can be manipulated and twisted,
Leaving us confused and blind.
But deep down we know,
That truth is like a beacon of light.
Guiding us through the darkness,
And shining ever so bright.
So can the truth that's been told to us
Be trusted without a second thought?
Or should we always question,
And never believe what we're taught?
In the end, the choice is ours to make,
To trust in the truth or not.
But remember, in a world of lies,
The truth will always be sought.
