Wrong Time, Wrong Person
Wrong time, wrong person, that’s what they always say,
When love is a game, and hearts are at play,
Feeling the rush, of emotions in flight,
When a single mistake, can ruin it all in one night.

He was the one, she had always dreamed of,
With eyes like the ocean, and a heart full of love,
He came into her life, like a bolt from the blue,
And she knew in that moment, her feelings were true.

But timing is key, when it comes to romance,
And the universe has a way, of playing a game of chance,
Just when things were going well, and the sparks were bright,
Life threw a curveball, and changed the course overnight.

They tried to make it work, in spite of the odds,
But life had other plans, and tore them apart like sods,
The timing was just wrong, and the pain was so deep,
As they struggled to hold on, and their hearts began to weep.

He wanted her forever, but the distance was too great,
While she wanted him so badly, but it was all too late,
Their love had come at a time, when it couldn’t be sustained,
And the memories they shared, could never be regained.

Now they’re just strangers, in a big wide world,
Two beings adrift, with their hearts all unfurled,
Trying to move on, from that moment so fast,
But always remembering, that love from the past.

So when they look back, on what they once had,
It’s hard not to wonder, if fate had been glad,
For the moments they shared, in that brief spark of light,
Were ones that could never, be replicated in sight.

Wrong time, wrong person, it’s a common refrain,
But for him and her, that love will forever remain,
A memory of love, that will never ever die,
No matter how hard, they try to bid it goodbye.
