Shifting Shadows
Once upon the time,
When love was pure and fine.
When love was compared with grape vine
and taste like delish wine.
Woman be mine, be my wife, let me marry you.
Each day I'll love you till we grow old and grey.
These were man's punchlines, were great.
When true love was seen through Romeo and Juliet.
They got inspiration from the turtle doves, way how they love each other until in death.
When love wasn't weigh man's pocket,
but the condition of the heart what matters.
When heart was there to love,
because love is devine.
In those days true love was still alive
Shifting shadows, table have turned.
Money is there to love- heart is meaningless.
I possess heart to love- but money is meaningfulness
No money, no love; where the money is, there'll be love too.
True love died the moment Romeo and Juliet past on and rest on their tombs.
Like a blind man we're searching in the dark.
Searching a path where martlyers of true love walked.
Shifting shadows, love's no longer the same.
That's why we confuse even act insane, b'cos we lost the true identity of love.
Thinking that love is money and everything in love will be smooth, sweet like honey.
Shifting Shadows, love was never picky,
But today love's partial, is choosey.
You're not my type- who? you!
That's how today we do, we date
True love is long gone and it's late
True love will come to life once again
in the resurrection of Romeo and Juliet
b'cos they were the true definition of true love- shifting shadows!
