Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

Lies...
Just be honest, you held me and you saw her
You whispered sweet nothings but it wasn't my heart you wished to conquer,
You touched my lips as if to say we needed no words,
But you really just didn't want to hear my voice as it wasn't hers.

You did a spiritual heart transplant, taking away what was left of me; all done to make her jealous from the start.
Imagine me praying for you and you praying for her,
Is love really this cold, hard, bitter curse, oh God it hurts!

For days I was wearied by the pain,
For days all I did was call the contact that had your name, for days I messaged for days I sobbed.
Until one day I put my foot down, my heart didn't deserve to be robbed.
Robbed of joy and hope and faith and love,for though you're gone I have hope above.

Hope that one day clothed in love his affection filled with sincerity, he'll look at me and what will I have to thank?
Your infidelity.
The veils are torn,
I no longer mourn.
Its really your loss 'cause boy I'm found😉
