My heart believed
the light was true
that everything inside it's circle
appeared as it really was
the darkness ended at it's edge
and on the other side was life
a purpose glittered in it's hue
it made the paths connect the ends
and urged the fruits of struggles ripe
I sipped from it and laid inert
it made me see a future bright
a fantasy of soothing light

the intoxication did conclude
the light my heart believed was truth
began to merge in darker shades
and that is how the light arrived
