I used to think about things in the past,
Like memories that always seem to last.
Now, I'm wondering if I've let them go,
Or if they're still hanging on, you know?

Yesterday's footsteps, I used to follow,
But today's a new day, that's hard to swallow.
Did I really move on, leave the old behind,
Or are those memories still on my mind?

New things are happening, like a brand-new day,
But sometimes, the old stuff won't go away.
Am I really moving on, doing fine,
Or is the past still in line?

In today's story and tomorrow's rhyme,
Maybe I'll find out in time.
Have I moved on, left the past behind,
Or is it still in my heart, somewhere to find?
