Fear's Comfort
"What do you think fear is?
Do you think it's an incurable itch?
Is it a hot venom waiting under your skin?
A rusty clamp around your heart?
Sometimes.
But just sometimes...
It's a soft, warm familiar blanket,
Padded with the seeds of a thousand thorns,
And that's so much worse,
Than the first three combined."

~ (Deuteronomy 31:8) "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

~ Sometimes we're so used to fear, we make the mistake of turning it into a twisted sort of comfort zone. Get out of there. It never was, and never will be, your security. It's better to be uncomfortable for a little while, and get used to courage step- by- step. You can do it, Brave One (30.11.2022).
