Blind little girl just smiling to keep from feeling the pain
Laughing child just trying not to cry at the reality of the worn skin

Lying to protect your own hell thinking that if this is what your mother and father do how much crueler the world could be was terrifying

Cloud headed girl dazed by repetition of bruises and mind attacks
Numbed into the ground just trying survive "home"

How it must have left you scared the moment you realized who I was, the true self you kept hidden behind that innocent fearful smile you nurtured,thinking I was your enemy.

So there I stood shining in all the hate I carried for so long until you meant nothing to me but the me who showed me the world without fear of me when I had to play along..
