I see you. 

In the darkest corners.

I feel you in my spirit.

You hide from the world,

Because the world has been cruel.

I try to coax you out,

But you cower in fear.

Shadow self. 

I release you.

No longer be afraid.

I will protect you,

As you should have been protected.

Play child.

Laugh.

Come out from the shadows,

And breathe.

Live with me,

As I live with you.

Breathe for me,

I send you all my breath.

Be alive.

You no longer must hide.

Together we are one.
