The sun shines a beautiful yellow
Warm rays light up my mood
The day is on its way
to another bright morning

Each time I sit on this patio
and watch the sunrise,
you always rise up in my mind
and completely take over my heart

I was such a hassle
crying and mean,
but you would make me laugh
and fill everything in between

today I am modest
humble even sometimes
but it is only because of your guidance
and beautiful light

What a blessing it was
to be your son,
and what a time we had
under the sun
