The struggles of life is like running up a hill
Accompanied with disappointments and endless refills
Then it flows just like a river on the way down, putting you at risk of falling over backwards or even drown
It's a slope which never ends, losing clarity around each bend
Then you grow too weak to stray either way
And too weak to stand still, up or down life's hill
There're many rattlesnakes on the way along with the vipers and adders
Making it difficult, so remember to pray
You can try to count all the daisies in the field
It's your own way of playing solitaire
But you'd much rather to take things slow, rest your head on the grass and listen as it grows
As the battle of wills slowly wear you down
Along the old dirt road
Life will weigh heavy upon our shoulders and patience will wear thin,
But we carry on pushing forth against the wind
Because life is somewhere on the hills
Holding the whole world on a string
Life is forever becoming,
Some are dancing while others are singing
Some are running, whilst some are hurting
Some are living a life worthwhile living
And some just sit around complaining
And as we travel up life's hill, we realised its much easier coming down
But sometimes when you push forward
Lifes pushes harder back,
Because life's trying to show you, the view from the top!!
