my peace
I've been seeking peace through my emptiness only to find unhappiness,
In doing so, I've learned of my emptiness and loneliness through my love of spirit,
Although I'm confined to the thoughts within my mind,
I've learned I can survive.
Without someone by my side,
But still, my heart needs love
and love needs me,
To share in the smallest of things, such as a touch, a glance, or a smile.
I would gladly give my heart away,
Just to hear somebody say
I matter in so many ways,
One day, I shall say to her,
Would you give my heart a home,
a place that I can call my own
And perhaps to hear you say,
You love me.
There's nothing wrong with a dream,
As far fetched as it may seem
I will find my peace
the day when she finds me.
