some evenings
i talk to myself
in my head
on your behalf
and
in your voice.

i don’t know why,
but somehow
it doesn’t feel lonely that way
you know?

it rather feels cosier
like you’re sitting next to me
around a fireplace
sharing a blanket
listening to everything i have to say.

it feels like you’re there
like your arms are snuggled around me
it feels a little less lonely
rather a lot more home.

and i like that. ♥️
