From the minute of birth, the moment we entered this earth
There's been obstacles placed in our way to overcome first
And each and everyday they just seem to get worse
But who God bless no-one can curse
If you can let go of the bars that's holding your mind
Stop pacing in the cell and lit the lamp inside
As the bitter dance of loneliness fades into space
The sun will then look upon your face
Although the world is being slaughtered and it's a damn disgrace
Well there's nothing that time cannot erase
If from your heart, you just give your best
Give unto God and you will always be blessed
No-one is immune to change and far from love
When you put your faith in the man up above
And if late winter rain goes wild, and the sky should then open up wide
Remember that there's a blessing in every storm
And he will keep you safe from harm
So if you feel your blessing is a curse, then you better put your thinking in reverse
Because who God bless let no-one curse
But for what it's really worth
There's a road to heaven for every soul on earth
So the wind will never freeze your soul
And everything you've ever loved or cared for
Is way beyond your control
So don’t fear the nightmares that wakes you up in tears
And if you get caught in the eyes of a hurricane
Of jealousy and hate
Then watch out for a simple twist of fate
Because when God is on your side
You kinda sense the feeling that in the end
You're going to be alright!!
