Christmas Miracle
Only time of the year I'm happy to be cold,
Colorful lights, Santa Clause, it never gets old.
Holiday spirit and nostalgia compell us to sing.
Songs of giving and snowmen, a newborn King.
The bitter cold beaten, by mugs of hot chocolate.
Decorations adorn every home, shop and office.
The anxiety of giving or what you may get.
Wrapped under the tree, mysterious gifts.
I'm reminded of my loved ones no longer here,
Friends and lovers I miss, still hold them so dear.
I know my children believe it's a magical time,
Christmas cheer and spirit is one of a kind.
Anticipations leading up to Christmas Eve
Children try to stay up as they fall asleep.
Christmas Morning comes, like living a dream.
Santa's done his work and ate his treats.
The joy of sharing and giving with ones we love
The true Christmas Miracle in my story above.
