I remember that
Day that Thursday
I came home with
My nails done…I remember
When my friend from Canada
Who emailed me on that afternoon
It was sunny and bright
She told me that Michael has passed
She was the first person who told me
Her friend worked at TMZ
You know the news
The tabloids
And she told me
Michael has passed
In different time zones
I turned on the tv
At first there was nothin
I flipped channels
Then there was his death
Plastered in my face…
I have no tears yet…
It didn’t hit right away
My phone buzzed
Sayin Michael Jackson died…
And then the internet be actin
All funny…
I came home before the sad news broke
It was a normal sunny Thursday
Got my nails done
And all of a sudden cloud over a
Huge crowds cryin
The breakdown…
Then I started to cry
I got myself a headache…
A major headache over a king of pop
Who I’ve never met in my life
However
I’m a fan of him….
So
Today is June 25th
15 years
Moonwalkers shed tears
Moonwalkers celebrate his legacy
And the world is so fuckin bored
Without him….
The glove
The hat
The arm band glittery shirt
The glasses
The sparklin socks
I mean the brotha is too fancy
For me
But
I love him….
