The Lord Has Set You Free

You've been in our family for such a long time
It's going to be hard now to let you go
I think back to the memories
We love you and going to miss you so!

I know you loved all of your family
Telling us stories and joking too
We all thought they were funny
That was just your way, we knew!

You taught many of us how to fish
A great passion you looked forward to
You would wait patiently for that big fish
It was just something that you liked to do!

Playing football and other games
We liked spending time with you
In the yard we'd play until dinner
Your love for football was true!

We talked to you about the Lord
You couldn't wait to see His face
He's taken you home and given you peace
We know now that you're in a beautiful place!

God looked down on you and saw you were weary
And He knew it was time to take you home
You now have joy and happiness that you never had
And you'll never be alone!

You loved your Savior and often told us
That a place in Heaven is where you wanted to be
You embraced Him as you wanted to do
And forever He has set you free!
