When the soil underneath starts to shift,
and everything in life seems in a state of drift,
the sunflower's roots stay firmly planted,
taking life's precious moments not for granted.

The sunflower has seen it's share of storms,
and times of wear and tear have come in swarms,
but this flower knows the sun will return,
and those rays are for what they truly yearn.
So towards the light they do swivel,
and in the dark they'll never shrivel.

So stay firmly planted no matter how shaken,
because soon the light will reawaken.
