Marry Rich
I was told to marry rich
–a man who could fulfill wealthy desires.
In my head they say not to think twice.
I left home for brighter days.
Told to keep my heart on my sleeve
–but when he grabs my wrist he breaks my heart everytime.
You say I'm dramatic and have no power, so I just follow yours.
Marry rich.
No matter in public, you'll be making me bleed.
I was told by you to stay put, and like the trained dog I am, I did.
You have me in your grasp now, just out of reach now.
I thought I wanted things, until he put me in my place.
Marry rich.
Never thought I'd find a man like him, money stricken hands that couldn't be better.
I am his arm rest, ash tray, the floor he walks on
–and I gladly take the place I was told I to since first grade.
