I keep trying
To fill this emptiness
With noises that I once abhored
Once it dies down
The emptiness creeps out again

With chores that wear me down
Where my thoughts are killed
And my own voice drowns

In the middle of the night
I am woken up
By that emptiness
Which reminds me of your absence
