Hi, I cannot see you
But I know your there
By the way you blow my hair
I breathe you in and
I feel at ease.
And as you gently caress my face
I feel more and more at peace.

This venomous heat dries my body in haste
I grow weary and mourn for my estate,
For there's not a single water in sight
In this blazing earthly hell,
To quench my melting self.

In my sorrow, you pass me by
And wrap me in your kindest embrace
Your touch calls on hope that
There's a river in a land far away.
You whisper gently as you brush by
that this body is dust, a burden I carry
And just like 'me', it'll all blow over someday.
