I am India, just like
every other child of Hind
I am Asifa, just like
every other daughter of a mother
I am God's mercy, just like
every other daughter for a father
I am the future of my country
Just like every other Indian
I am my country

Stop treating me like a doll
Stop killing my dreams
in the name of a wall
I don’t know, nothing about the war
I am not a part of this partition
Not a part of this cruel seminar

I've been bitten by dogs
Eaten by insects
Thrashed by cowards
Murdered by their demonic pawns

If this is your religion
If this is your holy war
Look up just for once
And ask your maker
Ask your God
Will this cruelty be unpunished?
Will you people not enter hell?
For transgressing the laws

My childhood is murdered
Don’t know for what?
My youth has been stripped
Don’t know for what?
My future destroyed
Don’t know for what?
My body sexually squashed
Don’t know for what?
My family threatened
Don’t know for what?
My country has laws
But I don’t know for what?

Give my message from beyond
To our leader standing tall
I don’t want a digital world
Give me a safe one
I don’t want a cashless world
Give me a just one
I don’t want a Hindu world
Give me a human one
Coz we are all humans after all

I am Asifa
Remember my voice
Remember my call
Let us all become
One for all
