The last breath
#WritcoPoemChallenge
Into the flames rising out of a setting sun,
I draw in a deep breath before I run.
Though there's no going back but the fear still lingers,
A smile creeps upon my face as I feel the gun's trigger .
As I rise the gun to my head,
I remember what my father once said,
"You're a horrible mistake that I made,
A shameless girl, an absolute disgrace".
Ah, dear father, you'll live in peace,
Once I'll end myself, once I'll leave.
I'll leave this world, so will the memories,
I'll break my cage, cage made up with miseries.
Pity you didn't see my scars, or that burning desire,
Pity you didn't know the sweet girl, you only knew the liar,
Into the flames rising out of a setting sun,
I draw in my last breath before I run.
