Boys Don't Cry
I look at you and you look so free,
Much freer than I ever could be,
I don't know why; what's the reason,
They make me feel as if I am in a prison.

But I know that your life isn't perfect,
It also has some memories which you regret,
The pain that you feel makes you nothing but weak,
They don't want to see your resolve creak.

Behind the strong facade, I can see you crying,
You are so emotional but I can see you trying,
It's not about your feelings but their beliefs,
They want to prove that you don't have griefs.

We all grew up believing that boys don't cry,
But it's his sentiments that we shouldn't pry,
Emotions were never divided according to gender,
It's just an ignorant credence that we all render.

Everybody pains and everybody cries,
You need not suffer silently and smile a smile filled with lies,
It's not about them, it's about you,
Show your feelings to those you trust, even if they are few.
