Net Notes
We start by saying "love all"
Then we continue on to hit the ball,
Muscles tense and eyes strained
Focus only on the moment gained,

Soon, it becomes a battle of endurance,
We press ahead with firm assurance,
we take one more shot, hoping it won't return
A smile on our face, one more point to earn,

We live in the moment, cheering our mate
No guilt, for the other player's fate
Moment of joy, replace by unease
As the ball hits the net, our faces freeze

One point lost, not far from defeat,
suddenly, he begins a steady climb, a rise in heat
A point from triumph or being vanquished,
His racket strikes, we won, our fears extinguished
