Forbidden Love
My heart beats fast, my mind's in a haze,
As I gaze upon her with a love that amazes,
She's my English teacher, so wise and kind,
But I know that in her heart, another has entwined.

I'm only twelve, and she's thirty-one,
But my love for her can't be undone,
It's like a fire that burns within my soul,
A love that I know can never be whole.

I wish I wasn't born so late,
To love her in a way that society hates,
For she is married, and I am just a child,
My love for her so wrong, so wild.

The guilt I feel is overwhelming,
For loving someone who's taken and belonging,
But my heart cannot deny what it feels,
A love that's real, so intense, and surreal.

Oh, how I wish I could turn back time,
And erase these feelings from my mind,
But the heart wants what it wants,
Even if it's a love that society taunts.

So, I'll keep this love locked inside,
A secret love that I'll always hide,
For it's a love that can never be,
A forbidden love that only hurts me.
