The Gospel
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the House of The Lord forever.
O’ how thankful am I for the Blood of Christ,
Without it I would be nothing but a stolen treasure.
Because of You before the foundations I was that light,
A chosen nation by faith not by sight.
Salvation through Grace not by right,
A refugee through the storm in Your feathers.
You became sin for those who already have,
And for those who after you will sin.
You suffered the affliction of Your Own Wrath,
By the hands of the same sinners that sin was still in.
You straightened the crooked ways along my path,
All things that were void You filled in.
My enemies tremble before Thy Rod and Thy Staff,
In The Lion’s Den You still win.
Amen
