Etched Forever

Lost in time,
weaved with memories,
It was but an old house
Stood tall as if to touch the sky
Shadowed us like a parent
And now it's fading
Fading into nothingness
As fast as the blowing wind
We couldn't help but stare
Helpless and clueless.
Our protests to rebuild it
Went in vain
Just like a baby crying
Over touching the moon
Even then the baby is consoled
But we just had to bare it.
To see our house,
Memories, and childhood
Break into pieces
Infront of our eyes
Just like a house of cards
Was truly unbearable.
I learnt it the hard way
That everything is impermanent.
Nothing stays with us forever,
They can just be in our memories
Etched forever in our hearts,
Etched forever in our lives.
