Pen a poem about the ONE who gave way to fulfill your desire to write.
It all started with a little girl on a prairie.
I was fascinated by the stories of her and her sister Mary.
Then a year of no summer that created a dark dismal world
took me away from the fantastical life of those Wilder girls.
Inspired by a feverish nightmare, it's alive in its rage
The monster created thrilled me through and through.
What Mary Shelley brought to the page, that is what I wanted to learn how to do.
As I got older with the passage of time, along came the King who took over my mind.
His words touched me deep and hit me strong.
I knew then and there this was where I belonged.
As for my writing inspiration I can't pick just one.
There are so many before me my list will never be done.
