Dance to the harvest over,
Around the fire's warmth!
It's Lohri, Punjabi happiness
Overflows around the land,
And from generous Patiala
Servings into warmed bellies,
Even of those who didn't till,
But still, they too had hearts
To their stomachs pressed
For news of success, ongoing,
Of Life's seasons, one to next.
