Rise for a change.
When I was four I remember clear,
my dad used to buy me a flag each year.
My mum used to tell me our freedom's age,
how this golden bird broke out from the foriegn's cage.

Now people don't really like each other,
they don't respect like they will kill one another.
The brotherhood they had, the songs they used to sing,
now they can stomp humanity for this religion thing.

I hated some movies when I turned sixteen,
They meddled history into a communal fight scene.
They have a sick mindset and they manipulate,
be it a Facebook post or a fake news debate.

We might have different Gods,
but we share the same base,
the Gita and the Quran said the same phrase.
"We must be honest and loyal to our motherland,
only if we have a complete faith wherever we stand."

We are a family, our stories are great,
they are our enemies, they spread hate.
Peace we must give and glory we exchange,
So rise my people, rise for a change.
