"Not Worried About The Length"
By: De Ona Marie Charamut
Her eyes gleamed with the light
Of her inner strength,
She had walked many miles,
Not worried about the length,
Nothing stood in her way
Or could ever bring her down
She was always smiling so big
Never would you see a frown
She would always make you laugh
You'd never know a thing was wrong
She'd never let it show
Cause deep down she was so strong
When in fact the actual problem
Was bigger than anyone could know
With each day that would pass
The problem would only grow
She had her way of handling things
And her ways worked for her
But there would come a time or two
Where a meltdown would occur
No one seemed to understand
The pain she felt inside
She gave her all every day
And everyday she would try
She didn't know how she'd recover
When she couldn't seem to go on
Everything she ever loved had been taken
And everything she worked for was gone
But her eyes still gleamed with that light
Of her inner strength,
She had walked so many miles,
Not worried about any length
All she knew was pushing forward
She didn't know how to give in
She'd take a second to catch her breath
Then she would start again
But her eyes ALWAYS gleamed with that light
Of her inner strength,
She had walked so many miles,
Not worried about any length
