I Wish
I wish I was pretty
I wish I had straight teeth
I wish I was slim
I wish I was successful
I wish I was loved
I wish I knew how to love
I wish I was brave
I wish fearless
I wish I took chances
I wish I didn't overthink so much
I wish I didn't trust so easily
I wish I was normal
Instead I am smart,
Creative a bit funny and kind.
And sometimes that is enough
to get me through the day.
But not today.
Today I wish I was everything that I not
Because my greatest wish of all is to be happy.
