FAILED & BROKEN
Why should I let you in?
When I know you'd always leave me on my knees begging at our front door.
But,
I still let you in,
Regardless of the consequences.
Why do I become so attached to you?
Knowing that the end result would be painful and regretful,
Still I diminish the thoughts,
And, let you wiggle your way back into my broken heart.
Why couldn't I see the warning signs?
They were so clear yet blur,
You promised eternity , but
Left without fulfillment,
Again.
What was I thinking?
That you'd stay this time?
But,
You promised to stay!
When you knew all too well that you would leave me to suffer in pain and unwanted sorrows.
“if this was the Eternity you always professed,
I should've poked my ears before you confessed”.
