After last year's Hell it's time to escape the darkness
And come into the light
2020 tried to break me down
But I'm putting up a fight
What I have come to learn
Is to appreciate life and the people who matter the most
You never know what can happen
So don't live your life like a ghost
It seems suffering and pain has been the story of my life
I vow to never let another one silence me and pierce my heart like a knife
No more being treated than less than what I deserve
Because now, I am discovering that I do indeed have worth
New beginnings and fresh starts
Can be cleansing for the soul
Strive for greatness and reach for the stars
All while keeping that heart of gold
Keep moving forward and learn from the past
