Beautiful Sorrow
My heart was once an ocean of love
With dancing tides and calm waves
That ran to the shores tirelessly
back and forth like children,
I was the moon glaring down
on you, with eyes full of bliss.
and when you were dried of happiness
I became the dark cloud,
that poured rain into your garden
of joy, everything you longed for,
I became the breeze that blew
gently against your skin,
and just when your life seemed
faint and still, I became the rainbow
that filled your heart with hope.
until I woke up and you were gone,
now my heart has become an endless
Desert of misery with cactus wounds
Stranded here, with no sense
of direction, but every time I see
A rainy cloud, I hold the empty jar
Of my heart up, to collect those
Droplets till they fill an ocean,
just to feel a fragment,
of how it felt to be loved by you.
now that you're gone,
my world has slowly faded into dust
bearing tiny pieces of our memories,
but I hope the wind wafts them
to wherever you are, I hope
you inhale them, I hope they remind you,
of the blooming garden of dreams,
we once built together.
