We were on a walk on the streets
the water gently trickling down
Tap. Tap. Tapping
gently the wind was blowing
it was cool,
it was calm and it was truly peaceful
it felt like it was only two of us
me and you,
you raised the umbrella gently
opening it with your warm smile I felt your love
embracing me, I was in a trance
but then it ended. . .
I was back in reality
your phone rang loudly disturbing
the peace in the atmosphere
it was a call from work
as usual I was on my own again
you handed me the umbrella and left
I often wondered what if we just had one more minute together or one more second to ourselves
but I guess I'll just be dancing on my own again today. . .
