For long term gains
Blood flows from deep cuts made by my own sword
But enduring the pain
As a warrior I fight through battles of contradictions
Whether I live or die
I will always stay true to my convictions

I have been questioned for the choices I have made
Mostly because they stray from the norm
But I never worry about what the so called experts have to say
I’ll continue to navigate through the eye of the storm

Trading wins and losses
For the final glory
Did the blood shed matter to anyone but me
Did the pain I endured change my position
On whether it ends with a laugh or a cry
Regardless the outcome someone will always ask why
