Tears of Flames
The fire in my eyes are within the tears I’ve cried.
Unable to be extinguished, when sight is relinquished.
Only by Christ, indeed this fire shall cease. Though my heart and soul yearns for love and peace.
Thoughts in my mind sometimes lead me blindly.
Tears of flames from years of pain so far behind me.
These tears of mine, consume my mind, yet I don’t feel any pain.
When clouds form before the storm, before the sky begins to cry, I understand when I feel the rain.
Tears of flames rolling on my skin, with repentance in my heart that comes from within.
God take my heart, forgive my sins, where do I start or where do I begin?
Is this life I live a lesson to learn? Are the mistakes I’ve made in my tears that burn? Is this life I live a treasure to earn? Are the sorrows I’ve faced of any concern?
Show me the answer Lord that can only be revealed in you.
Wipe the tears of flames from my eyes, to see paradise and what you’ve revealed to be true.
