Love's Lesson
Love me properly, from the beginning,
No need for games, no time for pretending.
For in this vast realm of hearts that yearn,
Authentic love is what we truly earn.
Do not get caught in struggle's embrace,
For love shouldn't be a constant race.
The culture that tells us we must fight,
Can blind our eyes and dim our inner light.
Love does not always reward us, dear,
But that doesn't mean we should live in fear.
For true love comes when we least expect,
And teaches us lessons we'll never forget.
That person you beg to love and hold,
Whose heart remains distant, icy and cold,
Release your grasp, let them freely go,
For love requires both to freely flow.
And behold, as time swiftly passes by,
That person who once made you question why,
Becomes a lesson, a chapter now closed,
To love another, they have since disposed.
But fear not, dear soul, for within you,
Lies the strength to mend and start anew.
Learn from the past, let go of the pain,
And welcome love's blessings, like fresh spring rain.
For that same love you yearned for in vain,
Shall find its way to your heart again.
And the lessons learned, the scars you bear,
Shall shape you into a woman strong and rare.
So love me properly, from the very start,
With honesty, kindness, and an open heart.
And know that you deserve a love that's true,
One that reciprocates the energy you pursue.
For in this dance of hearts, we must believe,
That love is abundant, if we dare to receive.
And as you journey through life's vast sea,
May love's lessons guide you to be free.
