In the journey of love, there are steps to take,
Some easy to climb, while some are tough to break.
The first step is sweet, with passion and lust,
A feeling of bliss, with hearts filled with trust.
But the second step comes with a challenge,
Where the bond is tested, and doubts do arise.
With emotions and fears, hearts may start to ache,
As love's journey takes a difficult break.
The third step is rocky, with twists and turns,
A path that's bumpy, with lessons to learn.
Here, the heart may bleed, with tears to shed,
As love's illusions start to fade and shred.
The fourth step is steep, with doubts in mind,
A test of faith, where love is hard to find.
It's easy to give up, to let go of the fight,
But true love perseveres, to make things right.
The fifth step is calm, with peace and ease,
A place of contentment, where love can please.
Here, the heart finds solace, with joy and delight,
As love's journey reaches a beautiful height.
And the final step is one of commitment,
A pledge to love, with no resentment.
