A little drive
I drove my truck
Down the twisty and narrow roads
Eyes barley able to stay open
'A couple more minutes' I thought
I repeated that phrase over and over
'A couple more minutes'
As I came to a stop I picked up my phone and looked
The bright light blinding me
But then one message caught my eye
'To late' it read
My face showed no emotion
But inside a war raged
To late could mean many different things
But this was a case of life or death
And here
It was death
