I awoke to a world that I didn't recognize
As if I were viewing it with a fresh new pair of eyes
All that I had known and all that I had learned
Suddenly disappeared and would never be returned
I admit I am grateful I gained a new perspective
No longer bound by truths that were merely subjective
I had an awakening and at first I was quite frightened
But now I see I have only become enlightened
I will never again be deceived by a veil that kept me blinded
No longer bound by limits, I am forever reminded
That I can do anything, the sky is not the limit
A world of possibilities and I am sure glad to be in it
