I knew a man
who could drink
Ten pints of ale
a day with ease,
His motto in life was,
"I'm here for a good time,
not a long time."

I'll never forget the despair
And deepest regret
I've ever seen in a mans eyes
When he told me
He had months to live.
Many times I wanted to say
His own motto to him,
I just couldn't bring my self to it.
