I Grew Up
I grew up being abused by a man at home
even though boxing never made me feel alone
it was boxing that allowed me to be strong
when I threw a strike, I would sing a new song.
Twenty years later and I'm ready to fight
I'm coming back to the ring with all of my might
it feels so good that I get to be strong
