Chained up Heart
In a corner of my being, a heart locked in chains,
An emblem of sorrow, basked in endless pains,
Its owner, a shadow, shielded it from all wounds,
Afraid of love's touch, refusing to be consumed.

With each passing day, love's fire fades away,
Diminishing like stars at the break of day,
Passions morph into embers, lost in the abyss,
And the heart, once alive, succumbs to sorrow's kiss.

Behind the iron bars, a raging storm takes hold,
Love turns to hatred, memories grow cold,
The vibrant hues it held, oh, they've faded into gloom,
As the once-colorful heart sinks into the womb.

No longer does it beat with hope and desire,
But fills with resentment, consumed by its own fire,
It breathes in self-hatred, drinks from bitter streams,
The darkness envelopes it, shattering its dreams.

Oh, once radiant heart, now shrouded in the night,
Lost in your abyss, devoid of all light,
Locked away forever, a prisoner of its own pain,
The sad and depressing end, a heartbreak's disdain.
